LIGHTSABER THEATER

Since its founding, the company has been dedicated to researching classical authors with the aim of encouraging reading. The Cia investigates the language of the body as a storyteller, it has its foundation in the Pinacoteca of the State of São Paulo with the project “Museum is also a child's thing”. The Project was born after two years of research and study about the visual arts and performance. Continuing with the idea of introducing children and young people to museums, the company developed a cycle of storytelling about Brazilian painters, taking 12,000 children to the Pinacoteca. The study of silent cinema and physical theater, where the body is an active character in the construction of shows, imagery and synesthesia is the basis of staging. The dance tells the story.

 

In 2014 Nino Belucci and Gustavo Barcamor became part of this research, other guest artists have already taken part in several Saber projects.
